Hello from the cold

Frozenbloo Studios is open. One desk on the north coast of Northern Ireland, a long list of things worth building, and a strong opinion about how software should behave on the machines people actually own.

The plan is unglamorous: ship a small number of things and maintain them properly. An original game is in development under the codename Dunluce, a commercial tool is at the prototype stage, and there is a drawer of experiments that will graduate if they survive the winter.

This site is the first thing we've shipped. It renders a live view of the aurora from orbit, pauses itself the moment you stop looking, and is lighter than the average news article. That ratio — spectacle to electricity — is roughly the studio thesis.
